The docs could tell by Carmen's body language today that she was very agitated. Bert said that the main concerns right now are her vital signs and the pressure on her brain. As far as her vital signs go, her pupils are still responding to light, her blood pressure is nice and low, and she's breathing on her own which are all great things. To check the pressure on Carmen's brain, the docs will be doing an X - Ray every 48 hours or so. The next one will be on Monday and we're hoping to see that the pressure has subsided.
Bert asked me to remind everyone that since Carmen is in the ICU, no flowers are allowed in her room. And unfortunately, he's already running out of room for stuffed animals so hold off on those too. But the cards and the notes are fantastic so please keep those coming.
Bert has been by Carmen's side 24/7. It's very apparent how much he loves his wife. We can only imagine the emotional roller coaster he and the rest of their family have been on this past week. Lets not forget to pray for all of them as well as our beautiful Carmen.

Carmen, 33 years ago you entered this world and I knew as soon as I saw your face you were an angel. I knew you belonged to Jesus but it was an honor and a privilege when he let me be your mom. I'm so proud of you. You have grown into a remarkable woman. You are an exotic beauty but your inner beauty is what captivates people. You are kind, generous, loving, and thoughtful. You have an energy that lights up a room when you walk in and anyone who meets you or is lucky enough to call you their friend walks away a better person. You are my angel, so positive and the bravest person I know. Your feistiness will get you through the toughest challenge you will ever face. I love you from the depth of my heart my sweet sweet angel. PS I just want all Albert’s and Carmen’s friends to know you guys are the best, and to Albert’s family you are amazing!! Thanks to everyone!! I love you all God bless - Jodi!
