Hola Carmen Fans,

So it sounds like Carmecita has been doing pretty well lately. On Friday, Albert asked Carmen if she was ready for therapy and she said "no, break. Break!" Bert doesn't like to let up on the PT, but since Carmen has been so gung ho with her PT lately, Bert thought it was alright to give her a day off. He said that often times, the therapists ask Carmen if she wants to call it quits, but she always say "no, more." So Friday became a day off from PT, but Bert said it was worth it. Saturday was a great day. Using a walker, Carmen walked 75 feet! Can you guys believe that?! Just a little more than a few weeks ago, Carmen was barely able to hold her head up. And this weekend she walked 75 feet?! That is so exciting. Also, she hasn't had nearly as many memory loss episodes. In fact, the weekend was almost entirely memory loss free! Oh, and her UTI is going away too which is a huge relief for Carmen. And as far as eating goes, she is kicking butt there too. Last night she had pizza and salad for dinner.

Way to go Carmen! Keep up all the great progress with your PT girl. We'll be praying for more good days, great therapy sessions, yummy dinners and good spirits. We love you...we love you....WE LOVE YOU.

Carmen, 33 years ago you entered this world and I knew as soon as I saw your face you were an angel. I knew you belonged to Jesus but it was an honor and a privilege when he let me be your mom. I'm so proud of you. You have grown into a remarkable woman. You are an exotic beauty but your inner beauty is what captivates people. You are kind, generous, loving, and thoughtful. You have an energy that lights up a room when you walk in and anyone who meets you or is lucky enough to call you their friend walks away a better person. You are my angel, so positive and the bravest person I know. Your feistiness will get you through the toughest challenge you will ever face. I love you from the depth of my heart my sweet sweet angel. PS I just want all Albert’s and Carmen’s friends to know you guys are the best, and to Albert’s family you are amazing!! Thanks to everyone!! I love you all God bless - Jodi!
