Imagine yourself in Berts shoes. Imagine that it's your best friend and the love of your life in that bed. Imagine that for 6 weeks, you could hardly communicate with her. Imagine the sleepless nights, the difficult news received from the doctors and then realize that your 1 year anniversary is just around the corner. Everything else in the world becomes so trivial as you sit by her and all you want is to talk to her. For weeks this was Alberts world.

But this morning I got a call. Albert was like a little kid in a candy store. He was so happy...at 7AM I should add! He bent down to give Carmen a kiss as he always does, but this time it was different. When he asked if he could give her a kiss, she said "yes" and she puckered up and kissed him back! He then asked if he could kiss her again....and she said "yes" again! After 6 weeks, he got a kiss from his wife. And then Carmen had some discomfort somewhere and Albert kept pointing to places on her body and when he finally got it right she let out a big "yes!" with a sigh of relief. What a great morning huh? To FINALLY be able to communicate and of course to FINALLY get a kiss from the one person in this world you want one is the best gift ever.

We love you Carmen. You too Mr. Pluma. Take care of that wifeee of yours. We'll see
you soon.
