Good Morning Friends...

The MRI results came back and confirmed the findings of the CAT Scan, which was that there was no new stroke. In fact there was nothing new that they could see at all, which obviously we're all very happy about. There are still a bunch of unanswered questions though. The doctors are not really sure what happened. Carmen had an EEG test done yesterday. It measures the brain activity to see if she is prone to have seizures. Results are not back yet. Will keep you posted on that.

One of the docs theory's is that Carmen just got "overloaded, like a computer does and just slows down." And by slowing down, he meant that this was a step back for Carmen. The doc told Bert that Carmen is where she was two weeks ago.

Bert said they will most likely be going back to the Rehab Facility today or tomorrow. Visits are always welcome but to please call first so you don't go to the wrong place.

Once again, I need to give props to Bert. Even in the midst of all this, he is quick to recognize the love and support he has received from everyone. He talks a lot about all of you and the things you have done. Last night he told me about his friends mom who is an ER nurse at Kaiser and is always quick to make a call and put a special request in to make sure Carmen gets the best care possible. In fact, the day Carmen went back to the hospital, Bert was with her when she made one of these calls and got an "up to the minute" update on his girl immediately! How cool is that! For any of us that have spent time in a waiting room or just wondering what is going on with a loved one in the hospital knows how valuable that kind of a phone call is. Of course, all this love is just coming back around to two of the coolest people any of us have had the pleaure of knowing.

We love you guys over there! Kiss your sweet Carmen for us Bert. Tell her we love her and are praying for her.

Love,

Carmen's Crew

Carmen, 33 years ago you entered this world and I knew as soon as I saw your face you were an angel. I knew you belonged to Jesus but it was an honor and a privilege when he let me be your mom. I'm so proud of you. You have grown into a remarkable woman. You are an exotic beauty but your inner beauty is what captivates people. You are kind, generous, loving, and thoughtful. You have an energy that lights up a room when you walk in and anyone who meets you or is lucky enough to call you their friend walks away a better person. You are my angel, so positive and the bravest person I know. Your feistiness will get you through the toughest challenge you will ever face. I love you from the depth of my heart my sweet sweet angel. PS I just want all Albert’s and Carmen’s friends to know you guys are the best, and to Albert’s family you are amazing!! Thanks to everyone!! I love you all God bless - Jodi!
