Carmen had another AMAZING day.  The doctors and nurses are in awe of how well she is doing! She is continuing to have complete conversations with people.  She is smiling and laughing, and being her "goofy" self.  What a miracle!!!!  When Albert walked in her room today, on two seperate occasions, he found her singing!!!  One time she was singing the song, "From Yesterday" by 30 Seconds to Mars and the second time she was singing "One More Time" by Daft Punk!!!!  (The song "One More Time" is one of Carmen and Bert's songs)  

Albert is attributing this sudden change to a tape recorder that he bought yesterday.  Carmen kept saying, "can't remember".   So Jodi suggested that maybe they should get her a tape recorder.  When Carmen heard her say that she said very clearly, "YES".  So they recorded her talking (with the few things she was saying) and played it back to let her hear herself talk.  And it was like a light switch went on.  All of the sudden she was able to say more words and she was pronouncing them more clearly.  HOW AMAZING IS THAT!!!  

We all KNEW she could do it!!!!  Carmen, OUR ROCKSTAR IS ROCKIN' IT!!!!! We are so proud of you!!!!  Keep it up girlie!!!!  You have a few hundred MAJOR fans right behind you, cheering you on louder than you'll ever know.  We love you so much!

P.S.  As far as visitors go, she can have them again but Bert just asked that if you could call him first to make sure that Carmen is up for a visit and to make sure that it won't conflict with all of her therapies she has everyday.

You have an energy that lights up a room when you walk in and anyone who meets you or is lucky enough to call you their friend walks away a better person. You are my angel, so positive and the bravest person I know. Your feistiness will get you through the toughest challenge you will ever face.
