Good Morning Friends....

Carmen was moved from the ICU to the 5th floor yesterday!!!  Her vitals have been very stable so she was ready for the move.  What great news, huh!!!!  She has been answering questions with a "yah" or a nod of the head "yes".   She will also answer with a "no".   She has been smiling and a few times even done a little laugh.  This new communication has lifted our hearts and pierced our souls.  Our Carmen is fighting.

But prayers are needed in a BIG way.  Carmen is also saying "ouch" a lot.  The doctors do not think that this "ouch" is due to a physical pain but rather an emotional one as she is learning her current restrictions within her own body.  We can't even imagine what our girl is experiencing physically or emotionally  but we can pray for her to find the courage, the strength and the faith to continue pressing forward.  To continue to fight.  And to let her know that we are ALL here for her, cheering her on.

We got word yesterday that her inflammation count for her blood disease has gone up from last week.  So they have increased her steriod medication to help with that.  Heprin, (the blood thinner medication) is looking like it might be coming in the very near future.  Could even be the end of the week.

So friends, as you can see, prayers are being answered.  We know they work.   And now Carmen needs some more. Please keep em' coming.

Carmen, we love you and are SO proud of you and how far you have already come.  Albert, we continue to be amazed and inspired by you, with your positive attitude and your unfailing love for your wife.

With all our love,

The Fan Club

Carmen, 33 years ago you entered this world and I knew as soon as I saw your face you were an angel. I knew you belonged to Jesus but it was an honor and a privilege when he let me be your mom. I'm so proud of you. You have grown into a remarkable woman. You are an exotic beauty but your inner beauty is what captivates people. You are kind, generous, loving, and thoughtful. You have an energy that lights up a room when you walk in and anyone who meets you or is lucky enough to call you their friend walks away a better person. You are my angel, so positive and the bravest person I know. Your feistiness will get you through the toughest challenge you will ever face. I love you from the depth of my heart my sweet sweet angel. PS I just want all Albert’s and Carmen’s friends to know you guys are the best, and to Albert’s family you are amazing!! Thanks to everyone!! I love you all God bless - Jodi!
