Hello Carmen Fans!

Carmen is doing so many GREAT things!!! She is receiving Physical Therapy as well as Speech Therapy every single day and she is kicking some serious bootie! In fact one of the therapists hadn't seen her in a few days and when she got back she couldn't believe the headway Carmen had made in such a short amount of time! (That's our girl!!!) She is moving around a lot more. She is rolling over and lifting parts of her body when needed to get dressed. She moves her legs and PT says she has great muscle strength in them. They are really focusing on her leg control.

Her speech therapy is going awesome too. Speech therapists work not only on speech itself but eating as well. They have been working with Carmen and her swallowing. She is now eating ice cream and mashed potatoes!!! How awesome is that!!! They told Bert that she is doing so well that they believe she will be able to eat a real Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving!!!! What amazing news!!! She is saying new words everyday. Some new ones on the list are love, Lindsey, Ozzy,(the doogie) and......MICK!!!! She said MICK!!!! WHAHOO!!!

As I am writing this Bert just texted me and said that he was letting Carmen lick a blow pop and she said "no more". WOW!!! LOVE IT!!! Our rockstar is kicking some rockstar butt!!! And she is doing it in style. Bert said that she is the best dressed in the joint...(of course she is!) He has her decked out in her favorite colors, black and pink, from head to toe!!! She is in her workout attire ready to rock it!

And to save the best for last, the therapists say that she is doing so well, they think that she will be able to get a hall pass and spend Thanksgiving and Christmas at home!!! So let's pray for that my friends!!! Carmen keep it up! We are all here cheering you on. We love you muy mucho!!!!!
