Carmen "Lil Mick" Pluma's Blog♥

I spoke with Bert last night and he said that Carmen's jaw seems to be much better.  She is still sporting the ace bandage but hopefully it won't be for too much longer.  Her physical therapy went great on Wed.  She was able to hold herself up in a sitting position for an entire minute!!!! AWESOME JOB Carmen!!!!!

The afternoon was tough.  Carmen cried for quite awhile.  Bert said that they were tears of sadness and depression.  He expressed to me how hard it is for him to see his girl so sad and upset.  We can't even imagine what either of you is going through.  We are so sorry.  And we are saying our specific prayers for you both in that regard.

But she did end the day on a great note.  She said the word "mom" today!  That is so wonderful! I'm sure that Jodi was just overwhelmed with love and joy when Carmen called her name.  And she was smiling and laughing at some things that were said in the room.  That's our girl.  She is still finding a way to see the good in life.

Carmen we are SOOO encouraged and inspired by you, every single day.  You cease to AMAZE us.  We love you more than we can express in words.  You too Bert.  Keep your heads up.  Good things will continue to be in store for you.  WE KNOW IT!

Carmen, 33 years ago you entered this world and I knew as soon as I saw your face you were an angel. I knew you belonged to Jesus but it was an honor and a privilege when he let me be your mom. I'm so proud of you. You have grown into a remarkable woman. You are an exotic beauty but your inner beauty is what captivates people. You are kind, generous, loving, and thoughtful. You have an energy that lights up a room when you walk in and anyone who meets you or is lucky enough to call you their friend walks away a better person. You are my angel, so positive and the bravest person I know. Your feistiness will get you through the toughest challenge you will ever face. I love you from the depth of my heart my sweet sweet angel. PS I just want all Albert’s and Carmen’s friends to know you guys are the best, and to Albert’s family you are amazing!! Thanks to everyone!! I love you all God bless - Jodi!
